KEYBOARDING II
Course Description
The semester long, 1 hour course description for Typing II is basically a continuation of Computer
Keyboarding and Information Processing. Higher production rates are expected of the students
and the ability to follow directions is emphasized. More in-depth business forms,
reports, memos, and tables are introduced along with complex letters and legal reports.
Guaranteed Graduate Outcomes:
- The students will increase his/her straight-copy keyboarding skill and accuracy
- The students will be faced with decision-making skills (independent learning)
- The students will examine and apply their language skills
- The students will apply techniques that contribute to increased keyboarding
productivity.
Objectives:
Increase inventory and reinforcement of knowledge of document formatting
Gain more experience in composing at the keyboard
To improve production skills by keying from unarranged, rough-draft, and straight copy
